Humbleness and Leadership Go Hand in Hand
We've heard "humbleness is a virtue," but I don't think we immediately think "humbleness" when listing attributes that describe leaders. What comes to my mind first are vision, influence, and integrity.
Humbleness is not a sign of weakness. Rather, humbleness is a lack of conceit or self-importance. Team members who are humble work well on collaborative projects.
They don't view their fellow team members as competitors. Instead they value their insights and ideas.
Having a humble disposition allows one to celebrate the achievements of other team members. You notice when your co-workers deserve recognition for a job well-done.
Individuals who are humble typically find it easier to build genuine relationships with their co-workers. Good working relationships result in a positive workplace environment.
